Library Assistants and Office Help
Academic Tutors/Mentors - Provide assistance to students struggling in school. Because literacy is involved
in every subject, volunteers will assist students with homework, school projects, writing assignment, reading
skills and subject specific research.

All volunteers will be provided required training free of charge

SUPPORT & GIVING - HOW YOU CAN HELP

For those in sympathy with our mission statement, understand the importance of literacy and want to help

You can make a profound difference in a child's life


Corporate/Individual Sponsorship -  Community leaders can pledge to support a child in need acquire the
necessary literacy skills to become successful. On average, $3,000 will fully support a child’s diagnostic literacy
assessment and a year of remedial services and academic tutoring. At the end of the year sponsors will have
the opportunity to meet the child they sponsored at a final reception. The program sponsors who donate $500
or more will be honored with a permanent engraved book plaque on the
"LEAP Giving Tree" in the Sheridan
Parkside Community Center Atrium.

LEAP of WNY, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization  ~  All donations are tax deductible


In-Kind Donations -  LEAP seeks a variety of in-kind donations to help off set the cost of running and
maintaining quality literacy programs. Such donations include  computer supplies and paper, office supplies,
new children's books, library materials, marketing materials, art supplies, and cleaning supplies.

Time and Expertise
Your experience and help are always
welcome. We can always use advice

page design and maintenance,
fundraising and library help.  
TRAINING & PROFESSIONAL
DEVELOPMENT

The training will focus on literacy
assessments, instruction and LEAP literacy
programs. All who attend will receive a
certificate of completion.

The three hour sessions will be held at LEAP's
Reading Clinic, 3200 Elmwood Avenue, Rm 214
Kenmore, NY 14217.
