| Volunteer Opportunities & Donations |
| Volunteer Opportunities LEAP is seeking volunteers for our Fall Season. Certified Teachers and Reading Specialists to work one-on-one and in small groups with struggling readers in grades 1 - 12. Academic Tutors/Mentors - Provide assistance to students struggling in school. Because literacy is involved in every subject, volunteers will assist students with homework, school projects, writing assignment, reading skills and subject specific research. All volunteers will be provided required training free of charge see "Training & Professional Development" below for more details on training times and dates |
| SUPPORT & GIVING - HOW YOU CAN HELP For those in sympathy with our mission statement, understand the importance of literacy and want to help Membership - $20/Year donation - Receive Newsletter and certificate of support Corporate/Individual Sponsorship - Community leaders can pledge to support a child in need and help him/her acquire the necessary literacy skill to become successful. On average, $3,000 will fully support a child’s diagnostic literacy assessment and a year of remedial services and academic tutoring. At the end of the year sponsors will have the opportunity to meet the child they sponsored at a final reception. The program will be divided into the following tiers; the upper three tiers will be advertised and acknowledged at all programs, on our web-site and on a donor’s plaque in LEAP’s Office. LEAP of WNY, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization ~ All donations are tax deductible Platinum: $10,000 – up Gold: $ 5,000 – 9,999 Silver: $2,500 – 4,999 Bronze: $500 – 2,499 Benefactor: $100 – 499 Honorable Mention: $1 – 99 In-Kind Donations - LEAP seeks a variety of in-kind donations to help offset the cost of running and maintaining quality literacy programs. Such donations include items like computers supplies, office equipment & furniture, books, writing & printing materials and incentive give aways. |
